מדד הדולר משמש כאמת מידה מובילה לערכו הבינלאומי של הדולר האמריקאי, והוא גם מדד המטבע המוכר והנסחר ביותר בעולם. מדד הדולר מודד את ערך הדולר בהשוואה לסל מטבעות ובו שש מטבעות מרכזיים: יורו,יין יפני,לירה סטרלינג,פרנק שוויצרי, דולר קנדי וקרונה שבדית. באמצעות מדד הדולר סוחרים יכולים לנצל שינויים בערכו של הדולר מול סל המטבעות ובנוסף הם יכולים לגדר את תיק ההשקעות שלהם כנגד סיכון מתזוזה של ערך הדולר בפעולה אחת. מידע נוסף ניתן למצוא במדור הניתוח הטכני ובמדור הגרפים.
